The Big C es una serie original de Showtime creada por Darlene Hunt y protagonizada por Laura Linney. Ella interpreta a una reservada esposa y madre suburbana de cuarenta y tantos años, cuyo reciente diagnóstico de cáncer la obliga a cambiar su vida y encontrar esperanza, humor y el lado positivo de una situación oscura, mientras maneja a su inmaduro pero bien intencionado esposo, interpretado por Oliver Platt.
Se emitieron un total de 40 episodios de The Big C durante cuatro temporadas, entre el 16 de agosto de 2010 y el 20 de mayo de 2013.
