English: Braga Street, Bandung. Repronegative. Although some European cities in Java also see the latest car models from Europe and the United States, they are nevertheless immediately identified as Indies cities by the typical colonial architecture. The facades of the buildings are almost always completely white, and most buildings were built between 1900 and 1930, a period of strong economic growth. The architecture closely followed European fashions. Yet it seems the implementation is usually slightly more playful than in the motherland, as if the architects felt freer in the Indies than at home. There was a very distinctive colonial architecture, which to date remains visible. (P. Boomgaard, 2001).

Sebagaimana di beberapa kota di Eropa, di Jawa juga bisa terlihat mobil model terbaru dari Eropa dan Amerika Serikat, mereka tetap segera diidentifikasi sebagai kota Hindia oleh arsitektur kolonial yang khas. Bagian depan bangunan tersebut hampir selalu benar-benar putih, dan sebagian besar bangunan dibangun antara tahun 1900 dan 1930, masa pertumbuhan ekonomi yang kuat. Arsitektur sangat kuat mengikuti gaya Eropa.
